🍂 September, what a month! 🍂 We kicked it off with our Boosterthon Fun Run and House Reveals, then jumped right into Book Fair, Grandparents Week, and Homecoming before wrapping it up this week with our PTO Fall Festival. It’s hard to believe the first quarter of the school year is already coming to a close. We’re thankful for all the memories made and hope you have a joyous Fall Break!

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and our counselor, Ms. Lowe, spent time talking with our students about the importance of being at school and ready to learn each day! We are so proud that every class at Creekside had 94% or better attendance this month! That is definitely something worth celebrating! Congratulations to the following classes for having the highest attendance in their grade level: 🥇 Mrs. Aultman’s 3rd Grade Class — 98.13% 🥇 Mrs. Shedd’s 4th Grade Class — 98.75% 🥇 Mr. Carter’s 5th Grade Class — 99.25% These classes celebrated their awesome attendance with donuts today!🍩🎉 Keep up the great work, Creekside! Every day counts!

Creekside is excited to launch its very first GEMS Team this year! Girls Engaging in Math and Science (GEMS) is an ALSDE initiative that encourages girls to explore and engage in STEM.⚙️💡🔬 Any 5th grade girls interested in joining can now apply! Applications are due by September 30 to Mrs. Perry.

Special Snack Prices

Creekside was proud to welcome LCS faculty and staff to campus today for District Professional Development! Our faculty and staff had a wonderful day of learning, growing, and collaborating together.

Ms. Donaldson’s and Mrs. White’s 3rd grade classes recently wrapped up a coaching cycle with Mrs. Blackburn, Creekside’s math coach! Throughout the cycle, students worked on building equal groups and exploring the connections between equal groups, repeated addition, and multiplication. It was wonderful to see their mathematical thinking deepen and their confidence grow throughout the process!

📢 DATE CHANGE! Due to events taking place in both the Elementary and Primary Libraries this week, Priority Kids will now begin next Monday, September 21, instead of this week. Thank you for your understanding! We can’t wait to get started!

It’s BOOK FAIR Week!!📖🎉 Students will shop the fair during their class’s selected time slot. Classroom teachers will share their specific times. Grandparents are invited to stop by the fair during their lunch visits this week. Boosterthon Fun Run🎉 Creekside is so grateful to the community of supporters who rallied behind our students during this year’s Boosterthon Fun Run event! Because of you, we went above and beyond our ambitious $50,000 goal!! The energy and teamwork from this event will help create wonderful opportunities and experiences for our students throughout the school year! A big THANK YOU to Creekside PTO for all of your hard work and dedication in making this event the success it is!
