A message from our PTO: As we begin looking ahead to Teacher Appreciation Week, our hearts are already so full of gratitude for the incredible teachers at Creekside. They pour so much love, time, and energy into our children each and every day, and we want to make sure they feel just how appreciated they truly are. We’re sharing this flyer early so parents, grandparents, and families have time to plan ahead and join us in celebrating these amazing educators in a meaningful way! We are excited to share that Creekside Elementary was awarded a TVA Grant to support our STEAM project, From Tower to Table: Vertical Farming for Fresh Food! With this funding, our STEAM classroom was able to purchase a hydroponics growing tower, giving our students the opportunity to explore how plants can grow without soil while using less water and fewer natural resources. Through this hands-on experience, they are learning about the many benefits of hydroponics, how it supports sustainable food production, and the importance of conservation and efficient resource use.

Our hallways were filled with cheers, smiles, and so much love today as we sent off our incredible athletes to the 2026 Athens-Limestone County Track and Field Special Olympics! Little Indians Night has been postponed if you want to share with your parent group.

Our Lost and Found is full! Please remind your student to check for any missing items such as water bottles, lunch boxes, and jackets. Parent conferences tomorrow are also a great time for families to stop by and take a look. Any unclaimed items will be donated over Spring Break.

Due to the threat of severe weather, Limestone County Schools will be dismissing early today, March 11. Elementary will dismiss at 1:40 p.m. followed by high school at 2 p.m. All after school activities are cancelled. Please continue to stay weather aware through the rest of the day.

We are excited to share that Creekside Elementary has been named a 2026 Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Lighthouse School. Receiving this recognition again is a testament to the continued dedication of our teachers, staff, students, families, and community who work together to make Creekside the special place it is. Each day we strive to grow leaders, inspire learners, and create an environment where students feel valued and can truly thrive.
