Creekside Elementary School is located at 16049 Sanderson Road, Harvest, Alabama, 35749, and serves the East Limestone School community. Creekside houses students in grades kindergarten through the fifth grade and has an enrollment of 1,050.  Creekside is accredited by the Southern Association of College and Schools (SACS).

Creekside is a modern school facility, incorporating the requisite infrastructure needed to create a technology-rich learning environment. Computer and phone lines extend into each classroom and office. The resources of the internet are just a few clicks away from a multitude of computers in the classrooms, media center (library), and 2 computer labs. Electrical systems are managed through controls within the intercom system; electrical power is supported by a diesel powered generator that "kicks-on" when electrical power is lost. A Teradon media center in the library enables live or video-taped programs to be broadcast throughout the building. With these and other features, Creekside exemplifies full integration of modern technology with traditional building design.

A Brief History of Creekside

Due to rapid growth in the eastern part of Limestone County during the later part of the 1990's, it became apparent that a new school would need to be built to accommodate the additional population growth predicted by demographic studies. Land was offered to the Limestone County Board of Education by the Alabama Department of Corrections as a site for a new school The Board accepted the gift and construction began sometime in 1998 and was completed in the spring of 2000.

During the summer of 2000, the former East Limestone Elementary staff, with a few additions, moved into the new Creekside Elementary School building. Mrs. Zebbra Green had been hired as principal a few months earlier to oversee the transition to the new school. Mr. Donny Fleming, long-time teacher and elementary assistant principal at East Limestone School, moved with the group to Creekside as assistant principal.

In August of 2000, Creekside Elementary School officially opened its doors and classes began amidst great community anticipation and excitement. Though the excitement has abated somewhat, our commitment to our students has not. Ours is the task of educating our children in a safe and nurturing environment, a task we all take seriously.
